First round in the bag

I just got home yesterday after my first round for synovial sarcoma - doxorubicin and ifosfamide. My goodness I’m on a sleeping marathon. Being awake feels too difficult, too nauseous and too much effort moving around, so back to bed it is. I seriously hope that it stays like this and dosent get too much worse. The only other symptoms to speak of are dry hands and sore mouth. Plus I’m still peeing like nobody’s business, perhaps a hangover from the diuretics they gave me in hospital.

Hypochondria

I’m due to start chemo soon and to be honest I am really anxious because I already suffer from health anxiety even before my cancer diagnosis. Every little thing is like “I have a weird feeling in my leg what if it’s a blood clot”. I’ve had cannulas before and was so scared to move in case I damaged it or did something bad. I’m supposed to have a picc line but that’s gonna make me so anxious that an infection is gonna go in the tube somehow. Not to mention all the side effects of chemo. I just don’t know how I’m gonna cope seeing as how I barely get through the day without a panic attack at the best of times. Anyone with health anxiety gone through this process?
