Weirdly addictive once you get past the “keep it alive” stage
Anyone else notice gardening has become weirdly addictive once you get past the “keep it alive” stage?
A few years ago I thought gardening was mostly for retired people with tons of free time. Now I’m out here checking soil moisture like it’s a full-time responsibility and getting irrationally excited over tomatoes finally turning red.
Started small with raised beds and herbs, then somehow ended up learning composting, companion planting, mulch types, and why animals apparently take one bite out of every single tomato last year.
Curious what got everyone into gardening in the first place. Saving money? Better food? Stress relief? Just trying to spend less time staring at screens?
