This happened to me and my friend Carter on a ski trip in Colorado and it’s still one of the funniest moments of my life
We got off one of the ski lifts near the top of the mountain and stopped by some trees to smoke before heading back down.
By the time this happened we were already halfway through our second joint.
It had started snowing pretty hard too, so visibility was awful. You could still see people, but everything looked blurry from a distance because of the snow and wind.
Then out of nowhere we hear somebody yell:
“YO”
We look over and there’s this dude in a red jacket standing probably like 70 feet away staring at us.
Then the guy holds something up in his hand and starts waving it.
Carter immediately goes:
“BRO THAT’S SKI PATROL”
Instant panic 😭
The dude starts slowly skiing toward us still holding the thing up and yelling, but between the wind and helmets we can barely hear him.
So naturally instead of acting normal, we throw the joint into the snow and absolutely bomb it down the mountain.
Every time I looked back the dude in the red jacket was STILL behind us shouting and waving his arm trying to catch up.
At this point we’re fried out of our minds trying to ski as fast as possible.
Then Carter completely wipes out right in front of me and I trip over him trying to avoid him 😭
Now we’re both laying in the snow trying to untangle ourselves while the guy in red is getting closer and closer.
Carter just looks at me and goes:
“bro we’re FUCKED”
At this point the guy we think is ski patrol is only like 40 feet away.
The dude finally skis down to us and we both just go completely silent waiting to get arrested
Then he opens his hand and goes:
“you dropped your car keys, man”
Apparently I dropped them where we were smoking and this poor dude had been chasing us halfway across the mountain trying to give them back
