What’s Left?
As a C.Ai user of a couple years, I’d like to say I really only left after pipsqueak 2 but came back to analyze pipsqueak yap.
While I was testing the chat style I learned they paywalled voices.
This wasn’t a highly favored feature nor was it well done. This doesn’t mean I’m not upset they would paywall or make a daily count for it.
They’re paywalling features they haven’t put any effort into and that’s upsetting, not just because I like the voices feature but because people who pay for C.Ai premium don’t deserve to pay money for low budget and quality work.
The app is intentionally putting everything behind premium because they’re over owning the app. They have side ads, pop up ads and premium users. They aren’t struggling financially and if they are it’s due to the fact the placed their money into the wrong area. The only way I can really think of the creators running out of money is because of the useless updates they keep adding to the app. If they weren’t intentionally trying to go out of business they wouldn’t keep rolling out new updates and features.
I’m not going to fear monger but I feel as though C.Ai will end up making the app super expensive and profit off people addicted to the app and then cease all control over the app and shut it down, keeping all the money they make.
I’m not a professional in these things so take what I say with a grain of salt but these devs know that they’re doing. They saw comments and made pipsqueak yap. They see our comments on the other downsides of the app and ignore it completely.
