I planted these seeds in the fall for my pollinator garden:
Now there are tons of weeds/seedlings coming up and it's hard to ID. Hoping for some advice here! Are all of these weeds in the photo?
This is my first year doing all of my cut flowers from seed. I'm experimenting with strawflowers and statice this year. I'm just east of GTA near Lindsay.
I still have at least 20 days to go until I can think about planting them outdoors and I'm wondering if people think these will survive that long without potting up? I don't have the space to pot up
I'm noticing roots coming out the bottom already, and yellowing of the leaves maybe from sun scorch? Still lots of new growth, but flimsy stems.
I have them hardened off in the unheated greenhouse during the day, and also starting to but them outdoors on mild days in shade with a breeze. I'm bottom watering every 3ish days when the tops begin drying.
But ah, the nights are still so cold and I'm hoping we can get above 10c at night soon so I can get these little guys planted.
Thoughts? Are we having a cooler than average May? Everything feels cold and chilly.
