4 wires and 2 gang boxes running parallel through transfer cavity.

Hello everyone,

I mostly want to fact check myself before calling an HVAC. I realized in my Den/Living room shared wall that my light switches and associated wires run down parallel from my attic through what is a transfer cavity for my central air return located in the den. The switches are also in the cavity. This wouldn't be allowed correct? The attached picture just shows the type of transfer cavity Im talking about, so that, with 4 wires coming from the top, and 2 boxes.

In the case that it is allowed, I live in a condo that was constructed with steel studs, so most of the studs in that cavity have punchouts for electrical already open, not to mention the hole feeding the wires from the attic, would it be best to have this moved anyway?

And should I install a jumper vent or a direct transfer grill (which would be an easy DIY) in a different section of the wall. Or... you know just call HVAC.
