Trip to Los Angeles and DC
Went to the US earlier this year from Australia with family, loved it. Went to Los Angeles and DC, weird combination but still enjoyed it. Only had about two weeks and decided on two cities, chose DC because a few of us are very interested in politics and all the sites like that and thought it would be cool and something different.
3 nights Hollywood, 4 nights DC, 5 nights Santa Monica, would recommend. Perfect amount of time in each place, loved Hollywood but wouldn’t stay any longer and perfect time in DC.
Only bad parts were the construction in DC ahead of July 4 since we went in May, couldn’t get up close to the White House and reflecting pool was closed but still enjoyed it, the heatwave in DC, and some wildfire smoke in LA, but all in all it was great. Since the White House was blocked we went to the People’s House experience/museum and would recommend it.
