Undergrad vs Grad Loans Forgiveness Schedule

Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere, I'm not great with Reddit and haven't been able to find the exact answers I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for any info provided.

Here is my current situation with PSLF: I'm currently at 116 payments for 5 loans (undergrad) and 100 payments for 3 more (grad). I just submitted a new form to add 4 more months to the counts, so I will have hit 120 for undergrad loans (hooray!). I know it takes some time for it to go through approval and then the loans actually forgiven. So here are my questions:

  • When this does get fully processed, only my undergrad loans will be forgiven, right? I will still have 16 more payments for my grad loans?
  • If the forgiveness happens before my next payment, I assume my payment amount doesn't change? Will it change after my next recertification based on having less owed in total or will it stay the same assuming income is the same?
  • What happens if the forgiveness isn't approved for lets say 6 weeks, meaning I will have made my June payment before it happens. Will they consider any of that payment as extra since technically I don't owe that much?
    • So for example, the payment is divided up to each of the different loans (8 total). If the forgiveness hasn't been finalized yet, they will technically allocate some of the payment to the 5 undergrad loans. What happens to that money when they finally forgive them? Will I get a refund, or will it just be reapplied to the remaining loans?

If there's anythign else I'm missing that I should be thinking about, please let me know.
