Guild Merge or Guild Alliance?
Will the Guild Merge update fully combine guilds and completely remove their individual identities, or will it function more like an allied guild system where guilds remain separate but are paired together for Guild vs Guild events?
In my opinion, an allied system would preserve each guild’s identity while still improving cross-guild interaction, which seems closer to the devs’ stated goal of better community interactions. It would also give guilds the flexibility to separate from the merge in the future with original guild members without starting a new guild if problems/friction arise. They can then later merge with a different group they better fit with. Is it known how the merge will happen yet? I would also like to know what peoples opinions are on this Guild update.
