Is 1 mm thickness sufficient for these Ring Details, or should I make them thicker?
Hi everyone,
I am designing a ring intended for casting in silver or gold. The attached images show the ring from the front, top, and side view.
The Ring Head Knot shape is 1 mm thick (from top view)
And the height of the knot varies, with a maximum 2.2 mm and minim 1.6
The band is 2 mm wide with thickness 1.6 mm
Before finalizing the design, I would appreciate feedback from people with experience in jewelry CAD, casting, and production:
Are there any areas that look likely to bend, break, or fail during casting?
Would you recommend increasing the thickness, and if so, to what minimum value?
Are there any other manufacturability concerns that stand out?
