pls help with this means alot ?

Hey everyone, I’m looking into spending around 2–3 months somewhere in Mexico later this year and wanted to ask for recommendations from people who have actually trained/lived there long term.

To be honest, I’m not looking for a vacation or party experience at all. My goal is really simple: train, improve, stay disciplined, and mentally reset for a few months. I’m trying to build a routine where my life is basically:

wake up → train → eat → recover → sleep → repeat

and fully lock into getting better physically and mentally.

I’m mainly looking for:

  • serious boxing / Muay Thai / MMA gyms
  • disciplined environment
  • coaches that actually care about development
  • affordable living
  • safe area
  • good WiFi since I may still do some remote work/studying
  • access to healthy food/grocery stores
  • quieter lifestyle

One really important thing for me though is I DON’T want the super touristy / nightlife / influencer / spring break type places. I know a lot of people love that vibe, but honestly it’s not what I’m searching for. I’d rather be somewhere more local and grounded where people are focused on training and everyday life.

I’m completely okay with:

  • smaller cities
  • less popular areas
  • old-school gyms
  • simple apartments
  • less glamorous places

as long as:

  • the training is good
  • the people are solid
  • and the environment helps someone stay focused and consistent.

For some background, I’ve already done training-focused trips before and I realized I really enjoy the simplicity of that lifestyle. I like the feeling of stripping life down to basics for a while and focusing on improvement without a million distractions around me. I’m honestly looking for a place where I can disappear for a bit, work on myself, train hard every day, clear my head, and come back sharper mentally and physically.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for:

  • specific gyms
  • cities/neighborhoods
  • places that have a strong boxing culture
  • affordable areas near good gyms
  • or even places I should avoid completely

Also open to hearing from anyone who has done something similar before.
