Awabi intro post
Hi guys :) I need to introduce Awabi here so here is some stuff about her!!!!
This is Awabi Tamao, the maritime hashira:
🌊Awabi is a demon slayer from the Meiji Era of Japan. She frequents busy harbors, ships, fishing villages, and anywhere that involves large bodies of water! She observes modernization and does her best to preserve traditional livelihoods in struggling communities.
🦪She was raised in a community of ama, female free-divers that harvest seafood. They taught Awabi to work with the environment and to preserve the beauty of the coast.
🫧Her breathing style is called Bubble Breathing. Developed from Water Breathing, it’s less “taking the shape of a container” and more “ trapped air against crushing pressure”. Users need to have excellent lung control, high tolerance to co2 buildup, and be able to stay calm in intense pressure.
🗣️ Awabi is blunt and has a dry tone of voice and humor. She struggles to make a good first impression. But if you were an upside down horseshoe crab she would help flip you over!!!
🐟 She will go on to have many tsugokus, specializing in costal demon slaying. Currently I have two but I will have more in the future hehe :D
