Apologies for another XR18/IEM question, I can't see anyone else having asked the same one so i'm gonna go ahead.

My band uses the XR18 and QLAB to run our IEMs and send backing tracks to FOH. A fairly typical rig with splitters etc.

Is it safe to also record the show through the same mixer into Logic. I've tried it a few times in rehearsal and never had any problems. Doing it live brings a new layer of anxiety.

So QLab would send things to the mixer, mixer then sends mixes to aux and FOH (and copies the FOH mix to a USB out), Logic then grabs everything, plus the FOH copy, plus a couple crowd mics and records it all nicely.

Are people confident in the XR18 to do this? Or is the laptop going to be the weak link (Macbook M1 Max)
