Hello!!🤭

I am a student in an international high school, currently in my senior year. I'm a student co-founder of Cross-Cultural Friction (CCF), an international online digital magazine created by students, for students. Here, we focus on STEM while bridging it with other fields. 
So far, we have 20+ members, based on 4 different countries (meaning that we have people in international schools from 4 different countries). Our aim is to grow the project as much as possible. 

Since this project is still in its beginning, joining now will benefit you as you could potentially become a core member or part of the executive team easily. 
We accept students who want to commit to CCF as a member, or students who wish to simply submit a piece (Research articles, opinion pieces, reviews, interviews, or blog) without becoming a member. For either members or one-time submitters, we accept pieces in different languages. 
Roles we are currently looking for if you wish to join as a member of the project:

• Writers: Research articles, opinion pieces, (book/movie) reviews, interviews, or blogs
• Editors: Review, fact-check, and refine submissions
• Artists and Photographers: Create visual art to accompany published pieces
• Designers: Work on website layout and format PDF magazine 
• Marketing: Help us grow our community globally and run outreach in local schools
• Translators: Help translate content across languages (We currently support Spanish, French, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Danish, Urdu, Punjabi, Azerbaijani)

Here are some reasons why you may want to join:

1. Every member receives an official named byline and all contributors are recognised on our website
2. We have flexible commitment. You can join as a regular core team member or submit work occasionally as an external contributor without a heavy workload if you're a busy student
3. Of course, it is a great extracurricular or supercurricular for university applications, especially if you write about topics directly tied to your intended major

 

Apart from that, I personally think that joining our project is an amazing way to commit to a club without spending too much time, going out of your house, or any disruption to your current routine. 

Again, we apologize, as a student magazine we’re not professionals and we of course make mistakes, we hope its not a big inconvenience :)
