Hey! I’m starting undergrad engineering at UCalgary in Fall 2026 as a second degree and I’m 30-ish.

Just curious what the culture is like for mature students on campus. Are there many older students in undergrad (especially engineering), and are people generally pretty welcoming?

Hoping to have a fun and meaningful experience and would love to hear from anyone in a similar situation. Thanks! :)

For current students and grads who did a master’s co-op, especially MEng:

- Where did you do your co-op?
- What role was it?
- Roughly how much were you making during co-op?
- Was it difficult to land one?
- If you’ve already graduated, where are you working now?

I see a lot of discussions around undergrad co-op outcomes, but not much about master’s co-op programs, especially MEng. Just hoping to hear experiences, whether positive, negative, or somewhere in between.
