What a bullshit achievement
Look, the update was mostly good because having the first two floors have 2 machines in solo runs makes progress quicker especially for those with limited screen time or busy with things like school or work and the duo machines were really helpful as 2 players can extract together to speed up progress or there can be different options to extract a duo machine. But there is one problem, if aside from the RNG-dependent achievements that rely on random events like Twisted Glisten spawn, Twisted Brightney spawn and blackout event: “All Together”
This is frustrating. You’re telling me that to get that achievement you need to find a duo machine, and complete the machines which 7 other players contributed to and the 7 other players who worked on it get nothing from this (except for whoever completed the machine alongside you)? Seriously Qwel? How is this a gold achievement? It’s more like iridescent because this required only to criteria and perfect coordination which is plain impossible in matchmaking. I tried it.
In one run, when I simply assumed it as 8 players working on one machine of any kind (single or duo), I tried getting other players to help and in some players’ turn they refuse to leave the machine. Frustrating. And rechecking the achievement’s requirements is even more frustrating. Because this only works on a duo machine, not a single machine and as usual all 8 players must work on it (which I’m correct about) but either 1 or 2 players can get the achievement for completing the machine and not the other 6 or 7. This is some fucking bullshit. Qwelver why. Istg if in 2026 Halloween she gives Soulvester a “Complete Floor 20” golden skin quest even with peanuts stamina and movement speed, I’ll crash out. In fact I’ll just ignore that.
And bc of how un-fucking-reasonable this achievement is, I’m just going to boycott that achievement, like I did Hissy Fit (because in Dyle floors RNG often makes it worse by adding blackouts or my teammates are poorly coordinated) and the Reach Floor 50/100 ones (due to being out of scope and being too time-consuming; my highest floor is 29). I’m not that achievement at all. Who knows if I might inadvertently get it because teammates are scrambling due to dangerous Twisteds? But trying to convince other teammates just to get the achievement is just very difficult, because most of them get nothing from helping you out.
Honestly I didn’t want to make another complaint about this game but I had to. I love this game for the Toons but loving this game isn’t a get-out-of-jail-free card from ignoring criticism.
