I was originally just going to draw him based on the reference images I collected, but I casually asked AI for some suggestions, and then I changed my mind. I’m making him wear the same gear as Patrick Roy. 😭🏒

Even Koichi’s age here might not quite line up with when the Koho 570 was available... I only realized that when I was almost done drawing him. But whatever. I’m giving this boy the best. 😭💕

I was just looking for some reference images to draw and happened to come across this photo. Following the image info led me to the Hansen Brothers, characters from the 1977 hockey movie Slap Shot.

But the movie’s pretty old, and I found out it’s considered a cult film. So now I’m wondering: did other people immediately think of the Hansen Brothers when they saw the three brothers, or were there others like me who had no idea there might be a reference? lol

some Shonen Jump manga/magazines appearing in Keiichi's room.

1. KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops

The most famous thing about KochiKame is probably its incredible length. It ran from 1976 to 2016, with a total of 201 volumes. It’s a comedy slice-of-life manga. It’s a really fun series.

2. Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 16, 2011

Featuring Toriko on the cover.I honestly just got lucky and stumbled across a website that archives old Weekly Shonen Jump covers. 😆

I never realized there were so many color variations of the Rou fan shirt. 😂Although the design itself is exactly the same.

1. The RGB three-color versions and the red version were lottery prizes offered with Volumes 1–5.

2. A black-and-white, long-sleeve version of the Rou fan shirt, released as part of the Young Jump 45th Anniversary × Forever 21 collaboration.

3. A mini Rou fan shirt keychain.

Pick your favorite character and show them off! 🏒 Hope you enjoy them!🥳

Out of curiosity, I searched the text above and found that it was actually an ad for an Oji Paper tissue product. The girl in the image is Mao Asada, one of Japan’s most famous figure skaters.

Btw, I just realized that the Oinokami vs. Sameoh game took place at the Oji Paper Skate Center. No wonder this ad was there

The Japanese edition is scheduled for release on September 17, starting with Chapter 66.

My guess is Nihei will be on the cover this time. 🤔？

Even though I draw them at their current age too, drawing them as kids is just so therapeutic. 🥺

Sorry, I'm reposting this. Kengo's butt makes it get flagged as adult content. My fault .

Today is Kengo's birthday, the Smiling Hound of Oinokami High! 🎉

I collected some Kengo reaction panels and realized... he might have the widest range of expressions out of all the characters?

Feel free to share your favorite Kengo panels in the comments!
