bmcu motor troubleshooting
Hi, guys. Could you help me troubleshoot my bmcu module. 370c hall.
At first it became to make a grinding sounds after a hour of work after a buy.
I've reassembled it a lot of times, trying to fix things, but still have problems.
- Changed the worm gear from to the new one from package - still not fits well and sounds scary on filament feeding
- Chinese assemblers has added a so thin wires from motor to the plate, they were cut of on every second time i've reassembled module. I've changed wires to the 0.25mm then to the 0.4mm
- Then I've printed the new worm gear increased outer size by 3%, it fits perfect, but after install this module has worked 20-30 seconds and now its not rotates the motor.
What steps I've made after motor stops to rotate:
- Updated a firmware to the latest from github. After connect to the printer i've calibrated all well, then tried to recalibrate - it does not helped. All modules are rotate motors, this on doesn't. But all leds are working the same - lights blue on pull, then green on rotate. Lights red on push, etc.
- Check the motor - I've connected it to the 15v battery - it rotates, both sides when change the polarity.
radial magnet on the gear is intalled well too
- Also measuring voltage on the motor contacts is showing 0 when press feeder.
Is my plate died or what? ) What can i cheсk more and what can i do?
UPDATED: I'm fixed this by setting another worm gear. The first one was too tight and looks like motor can't rotate it. The new gear have more free space and now it rotates well.
