Condensation on duct causing water damage

New homeowner here.

My wife and I recently noticed some water damage on our bathroom ceiling and walls. After having a plumber out we were able to determine the source is condensation on the outside of one of our AC ducts dripping inside the ceiling.

We had an HVAC technician come out but he said that since the issue isn’t with the main unit or the outdoor unit it wash out of his wheelhouse.

Can anybody help us determine who to call to help fix the condensation dripping issue?

Bathroom vent causing duct condensation. Help?

Brand new homeowner here with a maintenance question.

My wife and I recently discovered what we thought was a leak behind our downstairs bathroom wall. After having a plumber cut the ceiling open, he determined the issue was condensation coming from one of our ducts. We also had an HVAC technician come out but he was unable to determine the cause.

After some experimenting, I realized that the issue occurs when we are using the shower upstairs and venting the steam using the fan. Currently the ceiling is still open and we have a dehumidifier running but not sure what the proper fix for this issue is.

Anyone have any experience or tips? My wife is understandably eager to get the ceiling patched up!
