Does anyone think about the characters Robin and Barry are singing when they share a lead and if they’re ever singing as two halves of a couple
They were wonderful storytellers. I was listening to Wouldn’t I Be Someone and got to thinking of each verse is from the perspective of a different lover in a the aftermath of a breakup. They’re both heartbroken but are singing about the potential they have without the other.

I get that it may seem weird since they were brothers, but it’s really not when you consider that they were artists and storytellers. It’s not too common for a band to have two vocalists that sing different verses in the same song. So it’s interesting to think what characters they’re singing as, if they’re both singing as the same one.
I know the concept album aspect is not confirmed for High Civilization but because Evolution is the threesome song, I wonder if Barry and Robin are singing as the two men of the relationship in Secret Love
