Here is what I remember of the plot;

There is a widowed woman who has a 6 year old son and one day, the husband she thought was dead comes back for his inheritance and they meet again. She tries to hide her son from him so that he does not find out that she had his son. But once he saw the boy who had the same grey eyes as him, he knew immediately that he was his. He regains his title and tries to get back with his wife but she does not want to at first. They are still very attracted to each other. Also he walks with a cane because he got into an accident that hurt his leg while he was away.

ps: some of these points might not be a100% correct but this is the general gist of it.
