What's the best rowing machine? is C2 the only option

Been lurking rowing threads for a bit and feels like every single recommendation is just C2. which is fine if it's genuinely the best but thats a big jump from what i was expecting to spend tbh

Im trying to stay in the $500-600 range if possible. is there anything actually worth considering there or is the gap between "budget rower" and C2 big enough that ppl just dont bother recommending anything else

not trying to build a home gym empire, just want something solid ill actually use for cardio a few times a week. durability matters more to me than looks. if C2 really is that much better in terms of longevity/resale/parts that its worth the extra $400 ill just save up and get it. but if theres a legit alternative in the lower range that doesnt fall apart in a year id rather know before i drop the cash
