Well it passed
3d printer overreach California livestream
Right to repair, posted the second part because the first part didn't have the 3d printing overreach bill.
Amazon Project Hail Mary Astronaut
#savestargate
I made an Astronaut picture, feel free to draw your own backgrounds to put the astronaut in. The symbols included on the pack are NASA, Stargate command and the expanse.
Science lovers, please take the time to sign the petition for #savestargate.
I loved project hail Mary, but am saddened it didn't get the same support that Stargate did. If you don't want to sign, please consider watching Stargate on any streaming platform you have, every little bit helps.
3d printing wheelchair
My brother's first wheelchair was $3000 dollars,it's nice to see an option like this that people can make themselves. Especially if there's a makerspace that uses recycling to make filament.
This guy gets what Ai is doing to communities.
bsky.appCity skylines and possibility of makerspaces for reusing of materials
I like the idea of a city skylines, but I would really like the option for public spaces like libraries and makerspaces, because I'm curious how that would affect the recyclable trash percentage, if more waste could be reused in public services. If there's a mod to do that, let me know.
I was thinking that plastic bottles and aluminum cans would be the easiest to recycle. Using the plastic bottles for filament to create things instead of buying brand new. As well as using aluminum cans to create aluminum extrusion for more 3d printer supports. What percentage is plastic bottles and aluminum cans? What percentage would be possible for a community makerspace to realistically use? What affect should the presence of a makerspace have on the surrounding community? Would there be a slider for deciding how much it would cost to have a membership, or would it automatically be free to join? There's also something to look at involving the use in open source programming as well as a project for a community, although I don't know how you'd fit that into city skylines, maybe if there's a way to introduce motions for the virtual people to vote on would be cool, or maybe it would be easier to just make a brand new game. I just thought I would be able to get my ideas across more easily if somehow I could show people what I'm thinking of in a game.
Local solar projects
I live in a poor city in Maryland and we're getting a second solar field put in, I didn't even know about the first one untill I drove down the wrong road trying to get to the tire shop. It's so exciting!!! Not only do we have wind mills but were going to have two solar fields!!!! I also heard sometime in the future, schools will have solar on their roofs.
Moon solar and thinking about technology trees
youtu.beOpen source Hardware
This channel is good for finding groups that are working on open source hardware projects. I personally don't like the presentation style of their videos, but I'm subscribed so I can look up the various projects they spotlight.
