Why is it so hard to find a husband in Jordan?
I wish to share my journey, as a rant and to help me find out if I’m doing something wrong.
for context, I’m 33 F living in Jordan since 11 years. I’m Iraqi by nationality. Since I was 26 or so, I started being interested in the idea of finding a partner, but no luck so far.
I work, volunteer, and is social, so I have put myself out there, but no serious suitors!
By beauty standards, family background, and education, I check all the boxes.
Since I’m not living in my country, so having my parents have an arranged marriage was a bit difficult. There have been attempts, one of them was someone who was very interested after seeing my photo and learning about me, but he suddenly ghosted (or his mom). No explanation.
I tried thinking about it objectively, but I can’t find the problem. I even used Pure matrimony and Dr. Zawaj, but I feel the men there are not serious. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
