Hello everyone, I’m interested in the tactics, combat styles, and personal profiles of Napoleon’s Marshals, as well as their broader strategic approaches, and I’d like to ask what is known about each of them. In particular, I’m curious about distinctions such as which commanders were essentially infantry-minded and disliked cavalry (and vice versa), who tended to stay away from the front lines versus those who constantly led from the front, and how their individual character shaped the way they fought and commanded. I have a strong interest in Napoleonic history (especially strategy, but even more so tactics) and I’d really appreciate any insights into the distinctive styles and behavior of each Marshal in combat.
