Personally I have full faith in the recruitment team as they did an unbelievable job last season however I get it. We clearly need more depth with playing in Europe this season and last season kinda gave us false expectations for this season regarding transfers. Feels like it's a quality over quantity thing for me.

However there are a few signings I'd like us to make:

Left footed centre back

Left back

2 midfielders

Right winger

They are the positions we really need to sign for squad depth. After that any player we can afford to upgrade is a bonus. We need to go all out for a quality right winger. I think we don't need to change all too much if we can keep the same squad together from last season.

If I was Norwegian I would be absolutely fucking hammering Sorloth. Game could have been out of sight if he passed it to Haaland. I'm glad he didn't though 🤣

Seriously though that would have triggered me more than a ball allegedly hitting a cable.

Even before the game today you gave it your all, you defied the critics. You achieved our goal of staying up at a canter. You beat our bitter rivals both times. You never gave up. You dug in and turned so many games around. More than anyone else. You took points off 18 of the 19 teams we played against. You showed you can hang with the big boys. When it came down to it. Crunch time, the pressure was on you gave us your best performance all season. Everyone was outstanding today. Life has been so much better recently with you lads putting in the graft, understanding what it means to everyone in the city and those are from further afield. Just thank you so much. No matter what happens we will never forget this!

I know, we're all sick of the word but there is still a faint hope. Or so I believe. I think it boils down to City winning the FA Cup and Villa winning the Europe League. If those things happen I understand 9th will be a Conference League spot but have seen other conflicting things about Chelsea winning the FA Cup and Palace winning the Conference League. Does anyone actually know what the best possible scenario is where we could potentially qualify for Europe? I'm a little confused about the whole thing. Is it even set in stone or do UEFA have to decide based off coefficients?
