I just realized almost nobody smiles in Inception
I randomly noticed this on a rewatch.
Almost every character looks tense or emotionally exhausted for the entire movie.
And now I can’t unsee it.

A huge part of his scams only worked because nobody could instantly verify anything back then
No internet, no quick databases, no smartphones
Feels weird realizing how impossible most of this would be today
That scar had to be reapplied constantly during filming
Different takes, lighting changes, stunt doubles
By the end of the series, they’d painted it thousands of times
It's funny, but when I was a kid, I thought this movie actually existed. I recently watched *Home Alone* again and started wondering what kind of movie it was, only to find out that it doesn't exist.
That T. rex wasn’t just CGI
They built a massive animatronic for the movie
But once the rain started hitting it, the thing would randomly shake and move on its own
Apparently it freaked people out on set
Originally, Marty McFly was played by another actor, Eric Stoltz; they had already filmed most of the movie, but then realized he was making the character too serious, so they reshot almost the entire film with Michael J. Fox.
They could’ve faked that moment
But he insisted on doing it for real
He actually ate raw meat for the scene
That crow wasn’t CGI
They used a real bird for those scenes
And because of animal rules, they could only feed it after each take
Kind of adds something to how natural it feels
They were ready to shoot this over and over
The crew had around 20 pizzas prepared because no one expected it to work right away
And then he just did it. First try
You can even see him turn around after, like he didn’t expect it either
He didn’t just use the sword on set.
From what people on the production said, he kept it with him almost all the time.
Even slept with it nearby
In some scenes, the director wanted to capture the most “natural” reaction possible, so he simply left Kerry alone in the room to improvise, and many of the moments came about precisely because of that
Many people think that the storyline involving Hodor was added later, but the author of the books, George R.R. Martin, had already told the show’s creators about this plot twist in other words, his story and the meaning of his name were established from the very beginning.
It's amazing how a single offhand remark became one of the most quoted moments in the series
