I've always wanted to play this for so long after seeing the PV for this chapter.

And now that I've finally played it, man these PVs are just straight up lying about events. Just like the Begin Anew PV, events did not unfold this way at all. Anyway, enough about that let's talk about the actual story.

We get a brief introduction to her backstory, which ties into the entire narrative of this chapter.

I really loved it. I was never a huge Bridget fan, but seeing how positive she is throughout, it's hard not to like her. Her wanting to uncover what happened to her parents led her to join Babylonia as a construct, hoping to shed light on this incident one day. It's a really good motivation imo.

Atiel from Firn Night

This really reminded me of Atiel from Firn Night, remember her? She also joined Babylonia for her own personal reasons. Unfortunately she just became a 2 bit villain by the 2nd half of the story and died.

Anyway, onto the actual reason I made this. Trojan is back! Oh my god, look at her! She's like the inverse of Bridget's new frame. Back in Renaissance du Fantastique she used tonfas as well if I'm not wrong. And it's definitely by design, her character is also an inverse of Bridget. If Bridget is the sunshine, Trojan is the shadow both in terms of role and character.

Can't believe she was Bridget's mentor, really helps to hammer the point that constructs really don't age.

The chapter also takes place in the distant past, before jumping to the present. It's really cool and helps tie things to recent events. Unlike Cinder Burns, the story doesn't waste your time with Noan's entire life story, only for that to not even be related to present events.

I really adore this chapter for being able to tie everything together, everything revolves around the mine and Bridget, the main character of this chapter. I really wish I can write like this, it takes so much effort to create a tightly knit story.

Lemme gush over Trojan a bit more. I knew she was involved in this chapter from that CG with Bridget pointing the gun at her, but my god I never expected this. The scene played Total Domination in the background! I love that OST so much!

This whole scene was so good. How is she not playable yet? Her design is SO GOOD!
I love her personality before and after she lost her memory. She's one of my favourite characters from Iris Warbler, and the only one not playable of the group. Sica, the former Commandant of the group even got her 3d model in Babylonia already, so why is Trojan the only one stuck in NPC jail?

Ok enough about Trojan. Let's move on. I'm not going to summarise the entire chapter btw, just going to talk about a few things I really liked.

The writer must really like older women.

Damn straight John Norman, they better not change her design when she becomes playable.

She really is the sexiest character in PGR currently IMO.

Btw why are we even in this chapter? Moral support I guess? We helped out a ton I suppose, in the days trapped in the mine. The few heart to heart scenes with Bridget is why I love road trip chapters. Just characters sharing their thoughts and conversing, the less characters present, the more each character can shine.

...Why is Lucia even here? She gets like one scene and it's not even that important. She's here to just make sure Trojan doesn't try anything in this scene. To be fair, why isn't she with me more often in other chapters?

🗿Didn't expect to see stone sliding SFX Plume again.

Btw best girl Karenina is in this chapter. Not even a day passed and she's already trying to rescue SKK.

Best Girl being Best Girl as always.

Kurono gave Karenina this frame so she would cause massive property damage, sabotaging Babylonia. Truly a brilliant plan.

That's all, gimme Trojan! She's like the perfect 4th Gray Raven member I described in one of my polls I did on Reddit.
