What’s the best way to prepare for Pararescue

I’m 18, 6’0, 150lbs, I’m seriously looking into Pararescue as a job and I’ve looked into the training and all the tests and stuff and I want to know what the best way to get in shape and prepare is.

I understand there’s a lot of swimming involved which I’ve never had issues with, but I’m not sure about what the strength requirements are. Should I be focusing on Cardio or Weightlifting?

All advice is appreciated

Looking to join the AF but don’t want to be working a job that stays boring or idle.

For a little bit of context; I’m very new to all this, I’m nearly 18 and I’m looking to join with the intentions of becoming a PJ or a firefighter if that doesn’t work out (I know how hard PJ stuff can be but mama didn’t raise a quitter).

I know I have to have at least 10 jobs that I’m willing to do post-ASVAB written down so I’m just wondering what jobs you guys would suggest for being outside and staying active rather than idle.

I’m okay with lifting heavy things, helping people, and maintenance to a degree.

Any help is greatly appreciated and I’m sorry if I sound greener than grass.

Nothing I do is working, it feels like I’m hitting it for so long and I have yet to even see the skull appear next to it’s icon on the map

Even with 400 defense and max divine blessing almost all of the attacks 1-2 shot me

Can anyone share some helpful advice that isn’t just hitting the legs because believe me that’s not working
