So my iphone 14 pro max was broken it was turning it self off at random times, so i got it fixed at a local third party technican who sent it across the country to get it fixed, it was expensive. Then the sound stopped working i got it fixed again, then i couldnt activate the phone. So i tried 3utools and ipsw me to download the firmware, it redirects to official apple servers, to flash the iphone and maybe fix it, that didnt work after a few tried, then worked but then the sound stopped working again and i tried to restore it, but it didnt work so i got it fixed.
NOWwhen my dad went there to bring them the phone instead of me, i couldnt at the time they told him that Apple can sue me because i used illegal software apparently and broke the phone and they were telling me that they have to get it fixed again across the country, which i have to pay again.
are they scamming me?
because i did my research none of this is illegal, ipsw.me redirects to official apple servers
i did not jailbreak my phone
and now my dad does not believe me so, did they scare him to make me pay for the repair????
