Bulk Capacitance Help

Hello. So i finished the design of my 5 to 12V boost converter IC and now want to go one step further and add input/output connectors to the board. My question are:

  1. Should i add Bulk capacitors after and before the I/O Connectors? or are the input/output capacitors of the IC enough (C1 & C4)?
  2. Should the Bulk Capacitors be placed close to the connector or IC ?
  3. Finding a 22uF Capacitor is hard. I tried to search for higher Capacitance/ Voltage rating MLCCs in order to have 22uF after the DC bias derating effect, but this resulted in expensive capacitors and very few choices to pick from. How do professional PCB designers usually solve this issue? Do they put multiple capacitors in parallel? Use different types of capacitors? So far i am only familiar with MLCCs.
  4. When choosing the input and output bulk capacitors for connectors do i have to take into consideration the switching frequency of the IC? or does it not affect them in any way?
Finally is there anything else you recommend adding to the board other than the Boost IC and input output connectors?

Hello. I am learning pcb design from scratch. I am trying to make a simple 5v to 12v (80mA) boost converter as a first step to get my feet wet. I know there are a ton of comments and mistakes but i cant find them on my own. Please review and help me improve. I used 0.8mm, 0.4mm, and 0.1mm track width to route. I tried to go overkill-wide where possible because apparently that is better of tracks. The vias are 0.3mm cause a simple google search pointed out it's more than enough for this small current.

Honestly my main goal here was to choose appropriate components, make a schematic, pcb layout, and make the switching loop as small as possible.
