I work at a startup which I have posted about a month ago, doubt anyone knows because it was barely seen but back to the main topic. My current place of employment has been extremely obscure about their issues with the payroll as well as the paystubs.
To give a better idea, I started working at this place and I work alongside other trainees. When we received our first paycheck as it is bi-weekly payments, we did not ever receive a paystub and a whole week of payment was missing. No one was able to get a clear answer but did hear there were some errors in their system so we brushed it off as a one off thing. We did notice the proper deductibles are probably done as it wasn't just a whole number and lines up pretty well with what you'd expect from a week of pay. Now fast forward to the second paycheck, we still have no access to the paystub and no idea how much we're actually getting paid as the paycheck *should* come tomorrow. I've already escalated this to my manager who've also escalated to a higher level, but zero responses so far. This is the same for everyone who joined at the same time as me.
I would like to hear some opinions about this as this is the first time I've encountered this type of issue in my history of working in other industries. Also their bi-weekly system is so weird that doesn't actually mean bi-weekly but 15 day intervals which was kind of a lie.
