Made this piece for an art challenge called mermay! The prompt we were given was "totally 80s" and thought what better way to do the 80s than one of my absolute favorite animated films, the g1 movie! I worked in this for farrrr too long and I am totally exhausted but it was worth it!

Ever since I saw the rid 15 optimus design and saw how similar they were especially in vehicle modes and thought since I wasnt a fan of how ridiculously huge aotp convoy was compared to the rest of the prime I thought why not.
I havent used tamiya spray paints before nor did a custom in a long time so this was a good test. The base figure was a KO oversized rid optimus that I found on aalertness. I printed the shoulder canons fron what I found on cults and added the large back canons mostly just because XD. I also printed the prime master to go in the prime armor piece. For the silver on the blue portion of the legs, I used an old toothbrush that I used for my paintings for specific texture and for here it worked for battle scaring!
If I were to change anything I would be much more careful with how close I was with spraying the paints since I was having applying the gold paint to the chest and applying the silver to the sides of the trailer part of the altmode. I think I would use bottled paint for smaller aspects of the design, especially with applying to the head.
I would also have stripped all the paint from the chest since it was a die cast piece with red paint on top and I didnt realize that before painting on top of it lol.
Honestly im happy with how this mostly turned out as my first custom in a while but I am open to any critiques or advice!
