I know it's bad, but like... how bad?
Family member previously had lymphoma, went into remission after very aggressive chemo, and now as a result is diagnosed with [MDS?] leukemia.
I'm not looking for medical advice- I'm not in the decision making circle. I just want to better understand what these numbers mean. Can something as simple as a papercut be deadly at this point? Is it realistic that any simple bug going around could due this person in? Dr had stated 6 months to a year, but that was before last blood draw and I'm assuming the downward trending numbers are shortening that timeline?
Not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but appreciate any insights. TIA.
