I'm giving IGCSEs currently. Is it okay if I carry cash in my pocket? Is that allowed?

URGENT HELP: Been using gel pens for the longest time now transitioning to ball pens would lead to inability to finish exams!! And its too big of a trade off. Is there any loop hole that would allow me to use gel pens? (One of my friends told me to ask this, and yes I quoted her(trust)).
