Question for small business owners who import goods

I’m trying to better understand how U.S. small businesses handle import duty reviews.

For companies that import goods regularly, customs duty overpayments can sometimes happen because of product classification issues, documentation errors, duty changes, or missed review opportunities.

For importers or business owners here:

Do you ever review customs duty payments after import?

Is that usually handled internally, by a customs broker, or by a specialist?

Have you ever found mistakes or overpayments after the fact?

I’m mainly looking to understand how businesses approach this process in practice.
