I’m newly dx with Sjogrens and it’s because a couple months ago out of the blue my fingers were stuck/stiff and so painful in the morning. This progressed to tenderness in fingers even during the day but it getting so bad at night or naps that it wakes me up when I move at all or my toddler joins the bed. I am sero + (I think that’s how you all say it) and I did see a rheumatologists couple weeks back and we did X-rays of my hands and I have arthritis in my fingers. I’m a 40F… im not new to pain and issues. I’ve had 13 surgeries. In the past 4 years alone I’ve had my SI joint fused, lumbar spine surgery which failed, total hip replacement (bone on bone arthritis) and 3 months ago they fused my lower spine.

I also have a blood clotting distorted and developed pulmonary embolisms bilateral lungs which almost killed me. I have suffered from dry mouth but assumed it was from all the anesthesia and pain meds ( at this point I’m a lifer for oxy) and I’m no longer able to work. I was/am a Registered nurse and a busy mom with 2 kiddos… so this is all heartbreaking to be dx with more.

Anyway- curios about the finger/hand pain and of others experienced it.

Also do you get severe restless legs and trouble sleeping due to it? I’m trying to figure out what’s post fusion or what is likely this new dx.

I’ll be applying for social security disability now that I do not have employment so if anyone’s applied for that d/t this disease that info is also helpful.

Thanks so much!
