Why is GPU computing still so hard to integrate into normal development workflows?
Does anyone else feel like GPU computing still hasn’t properly integrated into everyday development workflows? I can code locally very smoothly, iterate quickly, test ideas instantly, and everything feels fast. But the moment I switch to GPU-based work, everything becomes more complicated and slower in terms of workflow, not performance.
Instead of focusing purely on building, I end up thinking about environment setup, instance management, file syncing, and whether everything is configured correctly before I even start running experiments. Do you think this is just the natural complexity of GPU systems, or is it more of a tooling problem that hasn’t been solved properly yet?
