AI used for branding/social media/promotion
I have been an esthetician for a few years and worked at two spas and I love the work I do. However both spas have been small businesses and the owners have both heavily used AI and chatGPT. They use it to write social media posts, generate images, make flyers, write emails to clients, ect. I personally have a pretty negative view of AI and I am honestly embarrassed to share or promote the business I work for by giving out flyers that have clearly been AI generated, sharing AI posts, or just generally being associated with a business with branding so heavily using AI. I know that it's really common and saves time and I can understand the appeal. But It is really cringy and icky to me, I know that most people I am friends with feel the same way when they see a business using AI. It's not even that it looks bad, but there is a definite look to AI, people can tell. I want to be excited about our events and specials and post them and share, but I just don't want to personally promote AI content :/ The implications of environmental harm, stolen art, and perceived laziness do not align with my values at all.
