So I stopped by the store with the intention of buying a Gibson since I have an Amer Std strat. Looking for a second electric with humbuckers. I really like playing the ES335 but I tried the Fender and thought for the price ($1700) it was more comfortable and versatile with the added bonus of splitting the coils. Usually I play clean or with overdrive, not heavy distortion but who knows what the future holds. Anybody have opinions on the fender that own one? Drawbacks? I know it's kind of ugly compared to an ES335 but I don't care much about aesthetics.
