for context I started feeling sharp pains the past couple days and woke up with it being quite unbearable nonstop pain.
I went to my primary dentist this morning and they took crays and said I'll need a root canal....
problem is I can't find anyone who will take me soon... I called my insurance for a list of places in NYC or surrounding that should accept my insurance... I called pretty much everyone on the list and the soonest they can squeeze me in is 1-2 months away.
my dentist prescribed me Amoxacillin 500MG and said it will help with the pain till I can get it fixed asap (3 times a day for 10 days). I started earlier today but still feeling immense amounts of nonstop pain, and extra strength acetaminophen is doing close to nothing for the pain too.
I'm a veterinary technology major in college and I have a major midterm this friday and I can't think with this constant intense pain. I'm really unsure what to do next.
if anyone has advice for the pain until I can get an appointment, or any recs of a dentist that does root canals and accepts anthem/bcbs/liberty dental insurance in or near NYC or Long island New york, please let me know. I'm losing my mind over this nonstop pain honestly.
