Visiting Catherine palace

Hi,

So we got a quotation for a day trip to Catherine palace for our St. Petersburg trip.

The price for 4 people - roughly around 200,000 Russian rubles.

This includes - all taxes, personal guide, personal driver, pre booked tickets, hotel pick up and drop off.

Total duration - 5 hours.

My first thought is it’s expensive. But please let me know if this is reasonable. Is this worth it?

How much would it roughly cost if we DIY this? We will be staying in the Nevsky Ave area and if this is not worth it we will take a taxi but please help estimate a rough cost.

Thank you!

Hey,

Our family of 4 will be visiting St Petersburg for about a week, end of May.

I have kept the itinerary breezy. 1 major museum/palace a day. We might have an hour or two free on a couple of days. What would you recommend we do?

Note I have already covered - walking around Nevsky / church of the savior on spilled blood / hermitage museum/st Issac’s cathedral/yusupov palace / catherine palace / Peter hof palace / peter and Paul fortress / boat ride

Am I missing anything that’s a must? What other activities can we do (I don’t wanna add in more museum/palace visits)?

Also, what my itinerary lacks is a solid list of restaurants and cafes to check out - we’d prefer something that has good city views + great food.

Thank you for any suggestions.
