Interview for alternative high school science teacher.
I have an interview to be a high school science teacher at an alternative school. This school for students who are failing due to chronic absenteeism, behavior, personal issues, etc. I will be teaching chemistry, physics, IPC.
I actually resigned from teaching at my current school because I am burnt out from behaviors. I currently teach middle school science. I feel like it’s more crowd control.
People have been saying to give high school a try before completely deciding to leave education. Does anyone have any experience teaching at an alternative school? What are the students like? I believe this would be mostly computer based as new students can be added any time.
