TSA and Uniforms

Ever since I was a child, I've had a hard time accepting "because I said so" as a valid excuse for something undesirable that's seemingly unnecessary. Policy has to make sense to me or I become disgrunted as if I was just randomly attacked for no reason.

Bitch session for today is TSA and Uniforms.

I am off for a decent amount of days and decided to go visit the fam back east, yet I'm forced to go dressed in my uniform like a dork just to get past TSA. I considered checking my bags, but of course, there's no guarantee that I will get a seat so I don't think it's a good idea to take that chance.

I'd like to request all of us who are unionized to petition your union to ask TSA to relax LAG requirements when going through checkpoints while out of uniform.

Valid Airline identification, state or federal identification, and possibly active KCM membership should be sufficient to pass TSA without LAG requirements while out of uniform. If TSA is using our uniform as a form of "identification", I'd rather simply show them an additional form of identification instead so I don't need to bring my uniform on freaking vacation 🙄

Before some hater mentions that this uniform policy is a TSA rule and out of the union's control... Well... KCM began as the result of union action. TSA is not going to listen to us, but they should listen to our union leadership especially if it's a group effort from multiple flight attendant and pilot unions.

Me wearing whatever I want to wear is not a safety hazard, I'm still running my bags through the scanner so they can see whether or not I have any weapons or contraband. I can and will change out of my uniform once I pass TSA, but... Why are we playing this unnecessary game??? Also, changing in a toilet stall is less than ideal.

Today I wore my uniform with sneakers... which is not allowed if I were actually working, but I didn't want to bring my work shoes with me too, damn! This is potentially putting TSA in a position to say "Excuse me, those shoes are out of uniform compliance" I don't think anyone should be enforcing our uniform except our airline management.

Again... Can we all petition our unions to petition TSA to overhaul this unnecessary and burdensome policy, please?

EDIT: Downvoters... Come on... Explain to me why what I'm saying doesn't make sense. I would LOVE for someone to explain it to me. PLEASE DO!!! By the way... I love my haters 😂❤️

Android guy wants an Apple Watch!

Really I'm just venting my frustration and just curious if any other people out there are in my same situation.

I'm a diehard Android fan. Not interested in an iPhone... I was an iPhone user from the iPhone 7 series and my last one was the iPhone 11.

A watch is required for my job, and I decided that I want a smartwatch.

I am currently using the CMF Watch Pro 1, which is a really nicely designed smartwatch from a few years back. But it's already seeming quite dated. The display is dated and I'm thinking of upgrading.

I also prefer squarish or rectangular shaped watches and 90% or more of Android watches use a circular shape.

I actually LOVE the design of the Apple Watch Ultra and if I could buy one I would.

I work in aviation and I just like the idea of when I land, the time and weater information, etc automatically updates. I would buy an Apple Watch, despite being an Android user if I could simply have the ability to tell the time and weather information when I land. I don't need to be able to send text messages or phone calls with the watch.

Considering buying the Galaxy Watch Ultra... But in general I don't like the UI of the Galaxy, either. This watch is also the nicest Android watch but it's not really a square or rectangle shape. Apple Watch is still nicer in my opinion.

Also thought about the Garmin Venu X1 watch that's rectangular shaped, but watched videos on YouTube, and despite being an expensive watch, it still gives off cheapie vibes as far as the design of the watch. Also a slightly dated look from like 5 to 7 years ago.

Curious... Are there any other Android users who actually like the design of the Apple Watch Ultra? Any Android user actually own an Apple Watch Ultra? How is that working out?

Any Android users out there who want and prefer a square/rectangular shaped smartwatch?
