Built a small platform to fix the “is this still available” annoyance on marketplace.
I’ve been frustrated with FB Marketplace for years. (who isn’t). The whole “lock in a price, then get renegotiated at the door, then they no-show” pattern is the worst. I don’t want to babysit another inbox.
I built cartridgebond.com specifically to fix this for Switch games:
• Buyer and seller both lock in the price BEFORE the meetup. No renegotiation. (Future escrow addition to cut down on flakes/mislabeled condition)
• Auto-matcher pairs you with someone in your zip code area
• 0 platform fees during beta
• Free trades for life for the first 25 founders to complete a trade
Currently Milwaukee-only beta but planning to add shipping for national in a few months once I prove out the need is there (less disputes with local exchange).
I’d love some feedback on the flow, what’s confusing, what would make this useful for you. Not asking for users just asking for honest reactions (unless you’re into it, then let’s go!).
Made by one person (me) on the side, not a startup. Just trying to fix something annoying about local game trading.
Thanks so much in advance for ALL feedback.
