I'm wondering if there's other people out there who remember IEMs before the Chi-Fi craze and how IEMs used to sound, am I crazy or did the older Sony, Sennheiser, NuForce, Shure sound totally different than what we have today? Not necessarily better or worse, just much different?

I picked up an old ass pair of NuForce BE6i for $10, I bought them new a decade ago (they were my dream IEM) and wanted to listen again, they sound so much different than the usual stuff we get today, not worse, just different. Wonder if anyone else feels this way
