I'm sure fortifications in general can be worked on because 95% of the players say they're useless. I myself believe they're awesome but honestly they really need a rework.
In my screenshots you can see it took this player 130 hits to get through my walls (should have never forgotten the catapults) and yet I was only able to attack 4 times (no. 38 isn't in the screenshot). Also the CP I get is minimal, but that's another story.
Please rework them! Make them relevant.
Here are a few ideas that I can think of, some are practical while others just sound fun. I'm sure they're a way to make them relevant:
- divide the walls in 3:
Just like fort fortifications, they could be divided in 3. We have to build 3 walls anyways. East, west and main gate/front walls. This way at least after the catapults strike, my walls hit 3 troops rather than 1. This makes it more rewarding and players will take walls slightly more seriously (maybe)
make them strike multiple enemies? This could be an idea. Maybe walls can strike 3 troops or even all of them (that would be epic)
strike again every 10 attacks? In my screen above my opponent gets 126 strikes Vs 4 for my walls.. how is it fair?
give +1000% CP in defence as default and not as a clan bonus. Or maybe give a lot more CP so that players are incentivated in building them.
if a player fails to take down your walls, the more hits it stands, the more chance you get for your troops inside to do double damage? So here if have 120% chance for double damage for all my troops after they finally broke the wall.
Otherwise, What's the point of having strong walls anyways? Most of the time they get 1 shotted, which is fine.. but when players fail to take down the walls, I think there should be some serious damage done to them.
I love fortification and will keep using them, but they really need some rework! Please don't ignore this
