Got out in 2017. Was always told “the longer you wait, the harder it gets.” Experienced a horrific training accident when I was in. Civilian contractor died. When I had the audacity to struggle with it, Master Guns Layne called me a pussy for going to therapy. Said “you didn’t expect to see dead people in the Marine Corps?”
Because of that, I waited until I truly felt I “made it” in the civilian world (dual undergrad degrees, with honors. Law degree. MBA) before I applied for benefits.
Proud to say I recieved the benefits that I earned, and fuck whatever Layne has to say about it, you piss poor excuse for a “leader”
