Who it’s for:
High school students from around the world who are curious about research and interested in working with peers internationally.
About the program:
The International Association of Young Researchers (IAYR) is a student-led initiative focused on expanding access to meaningful research opportunities for high school students, regardless of geography or previous access to formal research programs.
The IAYR Fall Research Program 2026 will be our first research program and will take place throughout November 2026.
It is:
- Online
- International
- English-speaking
- Free
Previous research experience is not required.
Research areas:
🩺 Health — Biology, Medicine, Neuroscience
💻 Technology — AI, Data Science, Computer Science
🌎 Humanities & Social Sciences — Economics, Law, Psychology
What participants will do:
- Learn research fundamentals and methodology
- Learn how to read and evaluate academic sources
- Explore literature reviews and research questions
- Work in international research groups
- Develop a research project with mentor guidance
- Collaborate with students from different backgrounds
- Present their work at the end of the program
Duration & commitment:
Approximately 4 weeks throughout November 2026, with scheduled online sessions, group meetings, mentor support, and independent research work.
Cost:
Free.
Application:
We use a short application focused on curiosity, motivation, research interests, collaboration, and commitment. We do not select students solely based on GPA, awards, school prestige, or previous access to research opportunities.
