Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’m looking for some guidance on the Ugandan passport application process. I was born in the UK to Ugandan parents, and I’d like to apply for a Ugandan passport but the information I’m getting has been really inconsistent.
Has anyone here with dual Ugandan–British background gone through this process? If so, could you walk me through what you did?
I’ve called the Ugandan Embassy several times and received conflicting answers. One person told me I can apply from the UK, while another said I must travel to Uganda for fingerprinting, which feels a bit counterproductive.
I’m willing to make a quick trip to Uganda if necessary, but I’d definitely prefer to complete everything here in the UK if that’s possible.
If anyone can shed some light on the correct process, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
